Small Groups

While Sunday will be a great time to join together in worship, we believe that to be fully connected Christians need to get involved in a Small Group. Small Groups are where Christian fellowship, caring, and spiritual growth take place. Practically speaking, there will never be a way for the pastors or staff to personally minister to everyone who attends any church. This is why Pastors are to equip believers to do the “work of ministry” (Ephesians 4:11-16) and why Small Group life is vital to any church. As New City grows, we believe it must also get smaller through Small Groups. While every Small Group is unique, together each group will study Scripture, pray, serve God and others, welcome new members, and have fun!

Small Groups are usually made up of about 7-10 people, meeting at their group-agreed schedule and place (for example: a restaurant, a home, or the church) to help them grow relationally and spiritually through sharing, study of Scripture, and prayer. At New City we seek to create and establish a a wide variety of Small Groups, such as Dorm groups, Women’s Groups, Men’s Groups, Singles Groups, Couple Groups, Care Groups, Prayer Groups and more. Finally, our leadership and mission teams will be small groups with a focus on one area or project within the community.

Small groups will be starting the week of Aug 24th - please email Creighton if you are interested in joining one
