Mission

Through specifically targeted missions in Kansas City, across the country, and around the globe – New City will create weekly opportunities to make the Gospel a living reality. Working with a volunteer mission coordinator, Jason Bohn, we are building off the success of Project Transformation – Kansas City, and other connections to create year-round mission opportunities that are developed, led, and implemented by young adults.

Over the next 5 months, we will asking those coming to New City to participate in the "10 Hour Challenge".  The goal is to give ten hours of your time to serve in Kansas City and listen to who God is calling our community to serve.  

• Weekly service opportunities in area ministries
• 10 Hour Challenge
• Connect with agencies and ministries serving in Kansas City
• Define mission area for New City by May 2009
• New Orleans Spring Break Mission trip (Rockhurst: 3.6-3.15; UMKC: 3.23-3.37)

Fall ‘09

• Establish programs in mission area
• Great Day of Service - 10.3.09
• Choose Spring Break and Summer mission locations
